The Village at Heritage Point is a not–for–profit Life Plan Community offering an independent lifestyle for seniors aged 62 and over. The community is located in Morgantown in the midst of the scenic mountains of West Virginia’s Monongalia County and is convenient to the cultural, educational and sporting events available.
A strong affiliation
We are affiliated with Mon Health Medical Center, the area’s premier community–based health care provider for more than 70 years. As a Life Plan Community, The Village at Heritage Point includes 90 residential apartments, which feature maintenance–free living. The Suites at Heritage Point, assisted living community, includes 40 private apartments.

Residents have access to lovely, resort-style amenities, a full schedule of activities and wellness programs, plus a generous service package that includes meals, housekeeping, scheduled transportation and much more!
A rich history of service
The idea for developing a top–tier retirement community in the region was presented at the Greater Morgantown Area Chamber of Commerce Vision 2000 initiative in 1993. A committee of local citizens brought the concept to life and secured a site and a developer. In November 1997, the Mon Health System stepped forward to sponsor the project.
The Village at Heritage Point opened its doors in July 1999, followed by The Suites at Heritage Point in September of that year. Today, The Village at Heritage Point is a thriving community where individuality is respected and residents, employees and visitors are warmly welcomed.
